Operation Christmas Child at E-Free
Each year, our congregation partners with Samaritan’s Purse to pack and send gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child (OCC). The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse works with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
How to participate
Starting Oct 3, we will have shoeboxes available in the foyer for you to pick up and pack. E-Free will pay the $9 shipping fee for every box we pack! You can drop off your finished box any time between now and National Collection Week, Nov 15 – 22. If you would like to track where your box goes, you’ll need to pay online.
Everyone can help!
Packing a shoebox is a fun project for the whole family, as children experience the joy of giving a box to another boy or girl. College students, this is a fun project for you to do with roommates and friends, that way everyone can pitch in. If you’re too busy to shop, consider Building a Shoebox Online.
“These gifts open the door for us to share God’s love and the eternal hope of the Gospel with children and their families who are living in desperation and fear. The world is changing, but the message of the cross doesn’t change—bringing the hope of the Gospel to millions, especially the living hope of Jesus. Our mission never changes.”Franklin Graham
